S-E has no excuse for this one. They developed and published it themselves even using the unreal engine that has been proven to do wonders on 360, yet look at the end result. I'm afraid for the ps3 version.

Rent it first and judge it yourself. This generation there has been no love for JRPG for some reason.

Their is still Tales of Vesperia and Valkyria Chronicles they both get some love and deserve it.

@Stats87: After IU reviews I stated that Last Renmant probably could be a new IU didn't expected a lower metacritic score though.

It probably isn't as bad as IGN says, but I heard from other sites that it is bad all around. I bet you if this was on the.......

Ouch indeed. Gamespot said that the game was a good game hidden under technical issues while IGN are basically saying that it sucks with or without technical issues. Just one thing though. IGN seems to be saying that the story is not good just because there aren't as many cutscenes as usual. Critics started to complain that JRPGs had too many cutscenes but now IGN is saying that TLR doesn't have enough

As i've stated in prior TLR threads, i'm not totally surprised by the questionable quality of the game because you have to look at which SE Dev team made the game. (same with IU, but that was Tri-Ace) It's not like Kitase or Nomura made this game, this Dev squad was made up mostly of people from SaGa and The Bouncer. I've never played The Bouncer, but SaGa games have generally been decent, if not forgettable. (I did like SaGa Frontier a fair bit though)

I'll still buy it when it makes it to PS3, I'm a JRPG junky, and it would be fun to review a JRPG worse than Eternal Sonata. I'll be incredibly surprised if this game can annoy me more than ES did at points.
