Ok, this is your last chance to get in on this, I am setting the deadline for new entrants and adjustments to the final whistle of Monday Night Football this week (Monday 17th of Sept) here in the US. Mostly because I will be coming to check the boards before I head off to bed after the game but also because its an easy reference point and professes my love for the NFL . Actually mostly because it avoids the questions of time zone.

Anyways, get your predictions in before then please. I will be making a post after the game and anything after that will be a late entry. I am trying to keep it fair and keep the predictions on a level playing field as much as possible which is why I am doing this so feel free to post to make changes if you guessed a while ago.

Edit: PS - No matter which "side" of this wins or who it is that wins, I expect gracious winners and losers.  As I said in the OP a month and a half ago, this is intended to be a good spirited prediction thread.  So if you get it wrong just congratulate the guy who got it right, and if you get it right..well don't make an ass out of yourself by gloating.

It's almost bound to. But I wouldn't say through the roof. I mean, there are going to be people still very much content playing Halo 2 all day long.

With current Wii numbers hovering at under 250k/wk due to weak J-sales, and X360 numbers crossing the 100k recently to around 110k.......

I'll go ahead and say that the X360 will beat the Wii by 25k that week, assuming it comes out in Europe, and Japan the same week.

Should look something like this by region:

Japan: 5,000 (+3,000 vs. Normal Week)
Europe: 65,000 (+30,000 vs. Normal Week)
United States: 190,000 (+120,000 vs. Normal Week)

That'd give the X360 around 260k vs. a weak week for the Wii at 235k.

Well the thing about xbox is that this is the big name tittle to come out. So sales might go up a little, but not that much.
As for the Wii it has 3 big tittles coming out (Mario galaxy, SSBB, Resident evil Wii) and people will play them. So people will buy more wii's over the course of time to get this games. SO wii numbers will go sky high, but the Xbox360 nimber will shot up a little

Right now the Xbox360 sales are not bad at all,
expected good in NA,
unexpected good in EU
I think Halo3 will continue to push the system,
but personnaly, I think that Halo3 release will not have so much effect,
in summary :

I think there will definitely be a sales increase for Halo week and the few weeks after but I don't think it will be anything insane like holiday numbers.
