Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Which DS game has given you the most value for your money and time?

MarioKart DS, Age of Empires, and Final Fantasy III. I never got Advance Wars but I'll pick up the sequel when it comes out. Putting a lot of time into Pokemon right now and I'll be picking up Picross at some point which for $20 and infinite puzzles I think I will be playing for a long, long time.

Phoenix Wright games without a doubt. I did not put so many gameplay time as Castlevania DOS, but the value in PH is the best. I would play 4 or 5 hour in a row just for the interesting plot. Great game, get it or die.

Elite Beat Agents. Mastering the game and getting 80 million points total to obtain the highest rank took me around 3 months, playing an average of one hour a day. After that I kept playing, given that although I had the highest rank I still had not all S ranks on all difficulty levels. And at the moment I'm still missing 3, with a total of 86 million points. It's the video game I've played the most since I became interested on consoles again, thanks to Nintendo.

owned a ds for one month on a work trip to australia. bought and played the hell out of NSMB and Worms 2.

MARIO KART!!!
MARIO BRO'S

Three words:

Elite Beat Agents.

I seriously think this is the best hand held game I have ever played (yes beyond Tetris even on the original Gameboy).

I have put so many hours into this game at this point, one of the games I've played the most all year (if not THE most).

Thanks to Blacksaber for the sig!

Similar to ckmlb I too think Elite Beat Agents is at least one of the best hand held games I have played. I am sincerely thankful that Ouendan did well enough to be remade and released to an English (and other) speaking audience. Puzzle Quest: COTW was a big and welcome surprise to me and Advance Wars in all its incarnations has always been one of my favorites.

If you like Sonic, you could buy Sonic Rush, but ever since Sonic left the Sega Dreamcast, he went down fast.

Actually, I think Sonic Rush is the best sonic game ever made. However I haven't really spent enough time with it to be able to put it in this thread yet.

One thing with Sonic Rush is that I felt it was extremely childish. I mean, the original Sega Genesis Sonic games, and even the Sega Dreamcast Sonic games had a sense of maturity to them, except for those stupid Chao's. Boy did I ever hate them, and they made Sonic games appear far more childish. Besides that, they were far more open to a larger audience. Not only that, but the previous Sonic games, before they left Sega, had a certain charm to them, that just dissapeared through out time. Also, I found that the music in Sonic Rush had nothing on Sonic games before the end of the Dreamcast, especially when compared to Sonic Adventure, which I found had the best sound track of any Sonic game.

The magical essence that once portrayed a true Sonic game slowly died after Sonic Adventure, and by the time Sonic the Hedgehog, and Sonic and the Secret Rings came out, it was completely vanished. Sonic games were more than just speed, they had a certain appeal to them. I found that Sonic Rush had very little of that charm, and it was a little bit too buisy. The Genesis games were environmentally simpler, but funner, and you didn't have to hold down one button the entire time, unlike most parts of Sonic Rush. Also, why is Blaze in the game?

The only characters that should exist are Tails, Sonic, and Dr. Robotnik. That's it. I could go on, and on, about how much Sonic Adventure 2 drifted away further from the original Sonic games, than Sonic Adventure, but I wont. Sonic Adventure for the Sega Dreamcast was the last Sonic game, and the only 3D Sonic game, that I truly enjoy. It even got better reviews than all other Sonic games after it, but I didn't go by the reviews, I went by the fact that Sega killed Sonic after Sonic's multi platform debut. Coincidentally, Crash Bandicoot followed Sonic's same path, around the same time too.

Up to now, Puzzle Quest is the best one for me.

I have player NSMB, Metroid, Animal Crossing, Brain Age, Brain Training, Nintendogs and EBA.
