@OP
Wow a product released 2 days ago has already had people separated from their machines for weeks (??? for 2 days that is kinda long).
At least the 100$ repair is effective if they already got the bill and the Xbox back... took only 2 days to break send repair and ship back!! (not including the weeks of no Xbox included in those 2 days...)

So then what's the most negative? I didn't say that 360's don't RRoD, I'm just saying it isn't as widespread as issue as the article and certain people is trying to make it out to be.
Also, remember that any time a brand new game, a new big update, someone sneezes, there's a new massive wave of RRoD theory that is popping up.
@ twesterm: first of all, it's 7.5% :p
And I doubt that fanboys from the other camp would click anything else but the latest option (bricked, paying it for myself) so subtracting from that seems logical.
The fact that they might be part of the first batch rumoured to have a 60% fail rate, doesn't matter at all imho. They bricked, that's all that matters imho.
All in all, "assumption is the mother of all F-ups" I read somewhere in a sig :p

You do know the only people that had to $100 were the people that bought it within the first week correct? Those are all ones that are the rumored 60%.
And yeah, I really don't think any significant number would really vote for the other RRoD options either.
And I fail at math today but still isn't all that huge of a problem.
not problem,..nxe is cool ,..your post is troll..ha ha ha ha
True :)

MikeB said: @ twesterm So that's 4% of the readers encountered the RRoD. 4% of 23 million isn't a widespread issue. That's even assuming the fanboys didn't pick one of the other RRoD options. 4% would be huge, remember the enormous media outcry during a PS3 firmware update. That caused problems in 0.1% of cases and was fully recoverable (if you backed up your savegames). Almost nobody at NeoGaf experienced any problems before it was pulled as a precaution (hardcore gamers, usually the first ones to update): http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=324089 |
So because people overreacted about one thing we should overreact about this?
Why is this fake topic still up? LOL, OP got banned.
