For a long time I kept trying to figure out how to embed images in a post, then I finally realize they don't allow that... you have to post a reference to the image.

You can only adjust hair color by picking a hair-style of that color... at least as far as I could tell.

Just pick a hair style, after that it asks you what hair color you want.
