Forums - Sales Discussion - Sony says NO to Netflix Streaming Movies to Xbox.

sony could ask apple for mac (doubtful) or use linux or own OS version that play playstation games :P.

but thats very unlikely. sony and m$ are really close at least in the PC market.

and yes over 15% its quite a alot.

imagine Microsoft not offering Windows to SONY VAIO , what is going to happen????

It's less "MS offers" than "Sony buys".

Anyway, Linux.

LOL. Sony's laptops wouldnt stand a chance in the mainstream computer world. The average computer user knows windows. I'm not talking the boffins who understand the benefits of each OS. But the computer casuals who surf the net. These peole and all of their friends have seen and only used Windows. That would be a big blow to Sony laptops.

Anyways M$ got into court for cornering the computer market to much. If Sony did pull this I could certainly see them in court. Because and I quote "Sony not allowing M$ to have streaming films is like Sony not allowing Sony Picture DVD's to run on a 360 DVD drive. They are just 2 different methods of viewing the movie. Both Legal adaptions."

Also if I'm right the 360 is more a medium for Netflix to expand to. And considering you need a netflix account, it's netflix that need the rights to stream the films. The fact that Netflix use the 360 as a viewer Sony can do F**K all about. Otherwise Netflix would have to stop the PC version streaming for these films to.

Either M$ is double checking the Legal issues, or they are general teething problems.

Stupid move by sony.

the truth is, we don't know why yet, stop assuming.

Man are you on the wrong forum if you think that way..

90% of this site is assumption, the other 10% is when the real figures come out.

"I don't trust #XboxOne & #Kinect 2.0, it's always connected" as you tweet from your smartphone - irony 0_o

If Sony is behind this. I just chuckled to myself. Does anyone think it ironic that they would stop it on a M$ console but allow it on M$ Windows??????????????

Which means couldnt you use Media center and watch it through the 360 anyway???????????????????????

Also doesnt M$ have Sony pictures films available on normal Marketplace download????

Oh crap. This whole thread and the article killed itself. I only just noticed the last sentance in red. LOL At everyone including me for biting at this.

SONY PICTURES FILMS ARE AVAILABLE ON NETFLIX 360.

It's just some Columbia Pictures ones that dont work at the moment. They are merely a subsidary of Sony Pictures. LOL at everyone.

/Thread.

Fixed!

I wouldn't put this past Sony. After all, they are trying to compete and run a business. At least to me this would make sense if they didn't allow it.

Wow, assumptions much?
