after ign gave GTA4 a 10 out of 10 i stop listing to their reviews. there isn't nothing special about L4D. its just another zombie game, except they respawn at different places everytime you play it. your not the only one, i tried it and didn't like it, good thing i didn't waste my $ on it

Its sucks cause its not coming to ps3 AMIRITE?

At least in your twisted Fanfiend head, just cause you(someone who made there account 5 minutes ago) comes here trashing a 360 game while in the PC section of the forums to try and cover it up.

Just another troll account!

I think you underestimate the importance of this.

Once procedural generation becomes mainstream... games will hit a new level... like the switch between 2D and 3D.

Picture a game... where you can make your create a character look like pretty much anything (like spore.)

Now picture your computer opponents can show up anywhere to fit the atomosphere and give you a new expirence (like L4D)

Perhaps even the enemies look different (like spore)

Now say your weapons are procedural... offering over 500,000 pickupable possibilities (like Borderlands.)

The level is different everytime you are there (Procedural level generation, which... some game is using i forget which.)

All that's left is...

Procedural AI.  You never know how the enemies are going to reaact because they don't have recognizeable paterns.  Not all of the same type act the same.

If all those advances are made and perfected... you have one game that will never get old so long as you like the core gameplay.

Of course that's probably why they'll never be combined.

Yeah L4D has terrible gameplay amirite? *sips brandy, presses x to menu-attack in jrpg*

"'Casual games' are something the 'Game Industry' invented to explain away the Wii success instead of actually listening or looking at what Nintendo did. There is no 'casual strategy' from Nintendo. 'Accessible strategy', yes, but ‘casual gamers’ is just the 'Game Industry''s polite way of saying what they feel: 'retarded gamers'."

Shoot , shoot , shoot ,shoot and shoot again. Well overrated except for all the COD fire and spray guys who think skill is the key. Very disappointing and poor appeal factor, gets boring so quick.

Nice to see your second account FPSrules

To the OP, have you played the full game or just the demo?

I got bored with the demo.  I played for I think a total of 5 hours...but I probably wouldn't have played any more than that.

And it's funny, because the demo was only 1 3/4 levels of a 5 map campaign, out of 4 campaigns total.

And playing through a whole campaign is simply EPIC...the first two levels were a great taste, but the full game is simply perfect.  The full game is simply WAY above what I experienced from the first two levels, so yeah.

I've played through 3 of the 4 campaigns with my friends, it took about 5 hours to get through 3 campaigns, and there's so much I didn't even get to see in each one.

And I've already got 7 hours in the Versus mode.  I can't even tell how you addicting it is to play as the Infected.

Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

Anyway, I'd love to rage on this troll topic, and I'm sure there will be some crazy anti-L4D people,

A) Because Valve is going more mainstream with 360 gamers, there's bound to be people that don't get it, and

B) It's on 360, so we get some stupid PS3 fanboys that mindlessly bash the game, even though they don't know what the hell they're talking about, and just make themselves look bad, because they should know Valve is primarily a PC developer.

But as soon as a game is ported to one console and not the other, all hell breaks loose and it makes me want to bash my head on a brick.

If you have questions about the game, or have valid complaints, go right ahead, but I have yet to see any bashes on this game that actually make sense...I don't think half the whiners here have played the full game.

Now then...Blood Harvest!

addicting

Please please please don't use that word like that, its only applicable use is as a transitory verb. The correct word is addictive.

This is mistake seems to be spreading around the internet and its driving me batty.
