That will definitely be interesting. Nevertheless are neither of these titles even remotely close to GTA in sales, so I don't think the overall picture will change. I even think the difference will be bigger. If you read the Gamasutra article you'll see that Wii sold as much software as 360, in a month without big 360 releases and with Fallout and Fable for 360. And Wii will have continued stellar sales of Wii Fit, Mario Kart, SSBB as well as Animal Crossing and legs for GHWT.

Uhm.. Gears 2 will easily be 2m in 2 weeks in the US, how is this not remotely close? And we still have the whole holiday for it to sell.

Anyway, its no doubt that Wii software will continue to sell in truckloads as the Wii has captured the imagination of the masses and droves of people are buying the software just to experience the hardware.

Having said that, I still think the 360 can at least match the software of the Wii this holiday and I think that is a good achievement as it will have a higher attach ratio, seeing how the Wii has zoomed by in install base.

This holiday is important as the PS2 generation is going to upgrade and have to make a choice now, more so than ever before.

It will be interesting. Gears of War isn't Halo, but I would not be astonished if it sold more than two million copies within two weeks in North America.

I'm so glad Wii Music flopped... If it was successful, we would have to worry about Nintendo putting even more of its resources to casual games.

Dont know why your surprised. This site has more Sony fans. In the real world I only know of 2 people who own PS3's and I have about 12 close friends who are gamers. All owned PS2 last gen. So when I see games hyped like LBP or R2 considering the 2 PS3 owners I know well arent interested in LBP and some at work I barely know arent getting it either. I didnt expect anything else. In fact the PS3 owners I know of, have all been talking about Fable 2 and Gears2.

As I said forums are in no way even close to interpreting what the main consumer out there is interested in. Thats why I against loads on this site said both R2 and LBP would get nowhere near 1 mill in the first week, while most fans said it would do it easily. The reason why LBP and R2 are called flops on this forum is because so many Sony fans are were touting it as major sales killer apps. And well they did fair(2-400,000), but not good first week (6-800,000) or great (1mill +)
