It was hyped? As far as I am awayre it was only slaughtered by reviewers and forum goers (yours truly being one of the most outspoken against it).

Well Wii Music is something you get under the christmas tree, so i wouldn't just yet call the game a flop. Besides, it's on track to 300k first week sales.

also,l when i first played i was like "whada hell" but after understanding the concept, and playing with friends and saving videos and so on, i think the game rocks!!

this game was hyped, alot of people seem to be ignoring that, but they were giving it wii fit numbers. I cant call them fols, because i didnt know what to think of the game prior to release but there is no way they can get away with saying there was no hype 

also why couldnt they have just made it into another mario paint that was a fun game

My Greatest fear, not that its likely to happen of course, would be that Wii Music has ruined any other Wii brand like WSR. I know its not gonna matter at all chiefly because the market already associates the Wii with sporting games anyway but its food for thought.

Yeah, that's my fear as well. It may have damaged reputation of the whole brand, just like some poor Sonic spin-offs had back in the day.

I still think it has an outside shot at doing 5mil or so. Until it releases in others, we can't know for sure. So far it has sold about 30% lower than I expected, which isn't quite the massive flop people are considering it to be. At least wait till January (for holidays & Others) before calling it one.

Oh, and yeah, it wasn't hyped. That's obvious, though.
