I hear what you are saying, but this issue is more complicated than you may think.

Everyone calls it COD5,  and IGN had it listed (may still have) as COD5 in some sections of their site.

So unless you have some sort of evidence to the contrary, then it is more or less COD5.

 

Does this elude to the possibility that the next infinity ward COD will be COD6, or subtitled... I am not sure.

Infact I was thinking about this exact issue the other day.

Everyone calling it CoD 5 annoys the crap out of me, because there definetely isn't a 5 in the title.

 

Big deal.

It's just something against Infinity Ward when Call of Duty 5 comes out next year.

Neo Geo didn't fail.

It wasn't the best selling console but it was never supposed to be.

Originally it was just supposed to be sold to hotels as an entertainment device people could get for hotel rooms or rentals to allow people to play the arcade at home.

It also "lived to tell the tale" as it survived longer then even the SNES... it lasted until 1997.  Well into the PS1 era.

It's games cost 200 bad boys a pop too... and i believe was never sold at a loss.

The Neo Geo was more expensive, and more successful from a buisness point of view.

cod 4 is ps3 lol sme people in between ply socom but that aint lasting long i aint suprised. Call of duty is one of the most successful franchises in gaming they will sell 3 million no matter what. Resistance and killzone might hurt its sales but on the 360 it will do fine. Gears is the only effect it may have but 2 different genres but similar fanbase.
