Forums - Gaming Discussion - LAIR : Did Factor 5 mess up or did they cut their losses?

Well other mags as CVG have had great impressions on the game .Maybe EGM still tries to shock its readers ....they also gave Blu Dragon a very bad score after all and we know that game is at least a very good traditional japanese RPG .

Sometimes some random reviewer loses his mind .Like the one that gave Gears of War a 6 or the one that gave the very competent F1 for the PS3 a 4 .

I woulndt judge a game only because one review .

What the hell is with the Mario Strikers bashing? It's out in Europe already...so everyone knows what the game is like...7.5 is a reasonable score. It's a solid game...not as good as Mario Tennis, but still good.

And let's hold off on Lair bashing until reviews come out. My guess is it'll get around 7s, based on this and my general feeling about Factor 5's games...this is just my prediction though.

We don't need a thread asking why did Factor 5 slip up or anything yet though...let's wait for reviews.

LEFT4DEAD411.COM
Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

Besides ,nearly all the EGM/1Up conglomerate have been VERY agressive against the PS3 since it was announced .SOmetimes boarding into unprofesional and fanboy remarks .

Great thread. Clearly its time to declare that this is "Lairgate" and try to analyze "what, oh dear Lord, what could have gone so wrong?"

Julian Eggebrecht? More like Julian Eggonface! Amirite?

(Note: All of the above is sarcasm.)

"[Our former customers] are unable to find software which they WANT to play."
"The way to solve this problem lies in how to communicate what kind of games [they CAN play]."

Satoru Iwata, Nintendo President. Only slightly paraphrased.
