Good god... People at gametrailers are now calling NPD off. Seriously, you think people would have a brain. I want the PS3 to sell 6m, too, but you gotta stay in reality. PS3 isn't even close to 6m. They havn't even sold that much to retailers.

It certainly is funny how one or two people with poor reading comprhension skills can screw up the entire internet.

I'd have to guess the misreading came from someone from another language to begin with because it's painfully obvious that they are talking sold to retailers in the financial report since it actually says in right at the start. 

 Either that or impatient people said "Screw it" and skipped straight to the "Sold" number without reading the earlier qualifier that mentions that they were reporting systems sold to retailers.

My personal opinion is that when mods see a post like this, they should post a standard explanation of the whole 'sold to consumers' vs 'sold to stores' issue and lock the thread. We've had far too many of these rehashed discussions. It's a waste of space on the front page!

Well I wasn't aware of the thread...reporting a post makes things move quicker.
