after a ps3 price cut, the 360 will get hammered and not by a measly 20-40k like how the 360 is doing now.
The PS3 has had better sales and better games (just my opinion) than the 360 for 2008, it certainly didn't flop. No console this year "flopped".
From my understanding there will not be another price cut for the PS3 for some time. If it continues to wain in sales like it is now (45k WW) this week, it will have some serious hurt put on it "THIS" christmas season.
And I don't see the PS3 swooping in and destroying its competition even with a price cut. It will hurt sales but it won't end them on the xbox360. You guys forget, the M$ machine could still drop prices even farther and still not lose as much as Sony is per machine.

I don't think a Japan-only exclusive comes anywhere close to "take back it's JRPG crown". Expecially since the PS3 never had this crown.

"PS3 users has too many games to play." This statement is as true as it is gramatically correct. You are somehow indicating that PS3 users have too many games, whereas 360 users don't? Have you seen the lineup so far this year? Sony is still banking on the future, while the 360 has consistently delivered.

Okay, I'll rephrase that. After Final Fantasy XIII is released exclusively for the PS3 in Japan (a game that will cut at least one million consoles off of the 360's worldwide lead just with its sales in that territory alone) and combined with the fact that the superior blu-ray version of Final Fantasy XIII will also be exclusively available on the Playstation 3 in America and Others (a game which will be "the version" of the game to have in comparison to the inferior dvd version which will be exclusively available on the 360 in Others and the Americas); the Playstation 3 will take back the Playstation family's JRPG crown which it has had for the last two console generations. I hope that makes things clearer for you.

Well when your going against the cheapest console this gen, and the most expensive console in any console generation, you wont sell that well now would you.

You will if you have better games like Final Fantasy XIII, Final Fantasy Versus XIII, Team ICO Project, Hideo Kojima's Next Project, God of War III, Gran Turimso 5, and new games by Insomniac, Naughty Dog, and Sucker Punch.
