 Yeah, pretty much agree with that. 360 and PS3 core userbase will get the game within the first week. Wii and PS2 owners will get it as word gets out.

 07 was pretty good and 08 is supposed to be even better and includes full online support.

It is being advertised in America as a 360 game so most multi-console buyers will be swayed that way. I think DonWii pretty much nailed it and this topic should be closed.

 You do know it was by ~50k units and the Wii now has a much larger lead over the PS3 than it did last year?

First of all, when considering Madden sales, you need only take into account the North American userbase since it has negligible sales in Japan or Europe.

That said, I think it will be very close between PS2 and 360, probably with PS2 taking the top number by a hair.  I also think it will be close between Wii and PS3, probably with Wii having a decent advantage.  I'd wager the PSP version will outsell the Wii and PS3 versions but be well behind the top two.

360; biggest install base (for now, not so in a couple of weeks, that'll be the wii) and most people who own 360s are people who enjoy sports games while wii owners like the cutting-edge quirkiness that Nintendo offers, not most western games like football.

While it's almost a foregone conclusion it'll be PS2-360-Wii-PS3, the Wii version may sell a lot stronger if EA markets it to the non-gamer sports fan (providing of course they can find a Wii to play it on)
