I think Wii has good enough lineup next year to satisfy the core gamers first party games like: Punch Out, Pikmin 3, Sin and Punishment (plus other titles that are not announced). JRPG's, Conduit, Madworld, House of the Dead etc. etc. And more games will come, i believe that there will be much more third party support this year, and also 1st party efforts will be shifted towards Core Games.

 thats obviously not true when they've given us a list of games for next year, and then telling us there's more to come. they've also told us many times that the old mario and zelda teams are currentley making new games. and there's a lot more they haven't told us.

I think it's obvious what core gamers will choose.

I consider myself a "core" gamer, but I actually have no idea what that or "hardcore" gamer even mean. Nintendo has never lost me, and they are the only reason I still have an interest in gaming.

 yaaaa. i have a ps3, and so far the only thing im buying next year is RE5. thats besides the point.

we don't live in a society where people have to choose one system. most people with two systems have a 360/wii or ps3/wii anyway.

people could buy games for more than one system.

But of course it's complete nonsense. There is no single definition of a core gamer. I can say: only those who play retro games are core. Doesn't make it true, but I ensure you that they have Wii's for the VC. I can say that Lightgun shooters are the true core. Not true, but they are on Wii. Platformers: Wii has more, point & click same story. Puzzle? Present.

If you only define WRPGs and shooters as core you're probably right, but that's a very narrowminded, even insulting way to view core gamers.

There are already loads of core gamers on Wii. Face it.

Better question would be does nintendo even care anymore about core gamers. Wii is still printing money and there seems to be no end for it.
