people forget that Resistance is a franchise that has sold 3 Million WW....some coming through bundles.

It had to compete with Fallout 3 & LBP....yet came out with 500K Week 1 NA alone

In EU we know it can do better than that.

Since when is a potential 1 Million 1st week "disappointing".....have week 1 sales of MGS4, GTA 4, Halo 3, GEOW 2 made us a blind to the fact that you don't need a 3 Million selling 1st week to "not bomb"

So it sold 500k in NA. A quick guess then would put the game at something like 7-800k in Europe. In other words easily over a million first week? If you think this is a bomb you have lost all sense of proportion.

Good for R2. 400k-ish is pretty good. Considering the horrible week in which they decided to launch. >_>

MGS4 sold 660K in NA week 1....

Resistance sold 300K - 500K

hopefully on the HIGHER side of things....not only is it guaranteed 1 Million in NA alone....but in EU its a stronger franchise + PS3's userbase is more.

so we are guaranteed 2 Million LTD at the least......if thats a bomb then I am sad to say our expectations of games now is going too far....never forget we are also in a recession

We are in early November, we are not in the holiday season yet, the holiday period begins late Nov(thanks giving) till early january.

Thats when sales usually erupt for the gaming industry, R2 selling 400k is good, should sell 600k in OTHERS.

Yeah i think 400k are not that bad,
but that althuogh means it wont sale as much as the first one without bundles

500k is ok ¬¬

with 6 million owners, why cant any Ps3 exclusive sell more than 500k at first in NA, seems weird. When i went to buy it at Gamestop, there was no sign anywhere like it was even released and i had to ask for it,  while 3rd party games were all over the place.

I expected 700k with 6.26 million install base. And 500k will be good but acording to ioi chances are low. 300-400k is bad because many multiplatform games have done better on PS3 then this hyped exclusive this year.

I agree with Dmeister & darth. PS3 fans have to choose what to buy 1st, Because of limited funds i bought LBP This past week and buying Motorstorm nxt week. Maybe people in US Are buying one R2 or LBP then following week the other one?
