Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Sega: Wii Is "The Most Expensive Board Game On Earth"

eh... last game I played was brawl... about 2 weeks ago. So its true for me.
Wait! I played Pikmin 2 multiplayer last nihgt for like 20 minutes. Still, I use it 80-85% for multiplayer, which is fine, but it does make it sort of like a virtual board game.

So more people see this I will re post it

Your point about a gateway, an entry point to gaming - certainly I think the Wii needs to have more titles. We've got two at Sega, but we're backing to attract us to the slightly older thirty-somethings that might hit nostalgia, and they'll feel they want to play House of the Dead: Overkill, and we've also got MadWorld. So we believe that the market is there and needs to be served. It's risky because new markets don't exist unless somebody goes to make them, so that's what we're backing."

Former something....

i saw the title and just thought ohhh here comes the flaming
ok look wii is crushing 360 and ps3 so sony and 360 fans cant really say anything
and wii have good games just to name a few
mk wii

I love how everyone is like "SEGA's RIGHT I HATE TEH WII IT'S LIKE A BOARD GAME!!!" and never read the actual interview... I mean how could you even believe that was quoted right? SEGA is producing a hell of a lot of core gamer type games on Wii they wouldn't market to a market that doesn't exist... think before you post people... and well... READ PLEASE JUST READ

If were being all anecdotal about it then sure I'll take the easy way in and out too.

I buy 2 games a month for the Wii and clear one of them and put the other in my shelf of games that I will return to on the mood. (keeps the cycle fresh.) I have all the time in the world to play games but I don't just sit back and do that now ^_^,.

If anything the only reason I don't play the usual titles very often. (Brawl and Mario Kart) is that both games have something that piss me off, some gameplay element that wasn't there before and I can't put my finger on it. Similar to my disposition toward GTA series.)

I don't know how this really applies to the OP but hey; everyone else is doing it.

I'm Unamerica and you can too.

The best analysis of software sales I have seen came from Sqrl. I suggest you read it before talking about attach ratios.

He meant the families who buy the Wii for occasional play with guests, not people who buy it for games. The dust collector claimers (who may not even own a Wii) were not who he was referring to.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

I continue to visit Kotaku less and less. If I wanted to see the facts twisted I'd go to Sony Defense Force at least its a parody site.

Hey guys, read the article. It seems like they don't like Nintendo because on Wii u can buy games cheap. Thing is, Sega wants to sell their games at a high price point so they make more $$.

Oh Sega, you crazy kids and your wrong ideas.
