Not sure although I did notice that two things were unlocked before I even started. 

I also had a free download of 5 additional maps via a scratch card in the package, which i presume everyone will get so i dont quite know what thats included in that format??

The Horde mode.. did that with a few other online buddies  on insane difficulty... talk about tough..

Great game I must say and we just finished it.. Though the normal mode was just so frickin easy at some points. What we did was we started over on difficult settings. Unlike halo 3 where we get a lot of set back specially with the arbiter(did i get the spelling right?).

Defintely this games is great!

I agree with some of the reviewers.  It seems like a polished gears 1.  Luckily gears 1 was phenominal.

After playing a bit of multiplayer, I'm a bit disappointed in this game, the shotgun there's a lag with it, and it just doesn't feel right to me. The lancer is like the only weapon you can use.
I don't feel like I like the game as much as the first one, it seems like they copied some of the stuff from Halo, like the menu and some other stuff.
I'll give it a 8 for now lol.

 i totally agree with u...when i first fired my shotgun with back to back shots i noticed how slow it was and didn't like it at all. The focus is more on using the lancer and that sux. What made gears 1 so good was the shotgun....i loved gears 1 and so far gears 2 is a disappointment..granted i only played for 2 hours but didn't like it for those 2 hours.

Got mine at the normal time. Cant wait to get home, and I also picked up GHWT.

They had a midnight launch at GAME and they said it was a big turnout. They also are not allowing to buy the game yet until tomorrow after everyone picks up their pre-orders. There must be ALOT of preorders for that to have happened.
