starcraft, out of curiousity....you were mainly a PS2 gamer last gen, right?....before this gen began, were you already having second thoughts about the PS3?....I mean, right around the time Ken Kutaragi started saying the "people will have to find a 2nd job to afford a PS3" line...was that when you started considering the 360?....Or was it E3 2006 that sealed the deal?

I never owned an Xbox or a GC.  I made do with my N64 for most of last generation.  I briefly owned a used PS2 (which broke) until I bought another used PS2 with a one year warranty a few months back.

So yeah, Sony was my only foray into last generation.

I picked up a 360 on the back of Perfect Dark Zero.  I would have regretted that if I hadn't picked up Kameo and PGR3 at the same time.  In the end though, the sheer weight of brilliant games made me stick with the Xbox 360, picking up a Wii late last year as well.

I will almost certainly buy a PS3 in the first half of next year.

Oh, I see...but, what made you get a 360 in the first place?...I mean, you picked it up before we could know the system would have so many JRPGs and so many "stolen" games that were previously associated with the PS brand...in a nutshell, you couldn´t have guessed the system would be having so many awesome games..or could you?

Not having a 6th generation system at the time, I was finally just desperate for a console. Naively believing PDZ could be as good as the original, I justified the purchase to myself.

As I said, were it not for the huge effort by Microsoft to secure masses of exclusives, ESPECIALLY RPG's, the purchase probably would have proven silly.
