Forums - Microsoft Discussion - IGN Banjo Kazooie: Nuts & Bolls Review...

TeamXbox gave it a 7.3 or something. That seems a little low.

the N64 banjo get 92 in metacritic so i think we will get another AAA arcade game .. see this link:

I'm not really surprised by the scores. A few months ago I had this game pegged as 7.5 to 8, but I was pretty impressed by the graphics in the demo.

That's really the only area that seems inordinately low to me in this review

Nice score, didn't expect anything lower than a 8.

and even if its a AA its still great its only lost one A :P

I stopped going to IGN when Fox bought them... and Gamespy when they became an ad site with some news articals. TeamXbox is a IGN affiliat and their scores are retarted... it rarely makes any sense like they don't have reviewers who enjoy certain genres so they just put who ever to do it and things get shitty scores. They should drop their Xbox gig and just become Teamwant-to-buck-a-trend-even-though-there-isn't-a-trend.

btw wtf is up with sfx score? Did this guy never watch tv as a child? Or perhaps Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck were not allowed in his house... those sfx bring a smile to my face

Damn, I forgot Mario. And however excellent the shooting may be, people will insist on calling it a 'platformer'. I suppose in a way it is. Just like Jak.

And, frankly, the original Banjo was back in Rare's golden age, when they made Perfect Dark and Goldeneye. Face it, they're not as good as they were before.

Also, an excellent first game doesn't mean the rest of the series will follow suit. Look at Devil May Cry, and some other games which I can't name, but I'm sure exist.

Consider the fact that IGN gave the original a 9.6. Higher than what they gave Gears of War. Higher than what they gave Gears 2. Higher than what they gave Halo 3.

While it's true that Jak doesn't compare to the original, it certainly seems to compare to this one, LBP is probably as good as the original, Mario is, indeed, better, and Ratchet, at its best (Up Your Arsenal) is damned close.

People are still saying AAA = 90%, AA = 80%, A= 70%... That doesn't make sense...

How many cups of darkness have I drank over the years? Even I don't know...
