this thread was obviously made to rile people up. And it works.
Your opinion is your own.

But, when these sort of questions are actually considered point for point and everything factors in...

Killzone 2 is leaps and bounds ahead of Gears 2.

The real question is- Once both are released, will Gears 2 be the 2nd best graphical game out?

Or an equal question- When Gears 2 releases, will it be the best graphical game to date? (even if it is just for a couple of months)

gears 2 looks fantastic but
i'm an 360 fan and i've seen both in HD videos and i was more impressed with killzone 2. the first timei saw it, i'l be honest, it was amazing.

killzone 2 looks so boring i yawned twice while watching the first 2 minutes after that i stopped watching.

gow2 and R2 look much more fun to me

Actually the video he used was from May.  So it is more like 10 months.

Overall I think KZ2 is better (kyros explained things very well in his post above).

I don't understand you Xbox 360 fans. You've had it good for TWO years. There are only a handful of games that cannot be done on the 360, (Uncharted being one), but when a developer truly taps the power of PS3, you come out with - "Oh Killzone 2 looks good, but not that much better."

Judging by posts like this

I highly doubt he was using this thread as any sort of "tribute" to Killzone 2.  Especially when he uses youtube videos to compare the final version of gears to a 6 month old version of KZ2.  The thread was pretty much flame-bait.
