I get what you're saying, but Hamilton is 10 times more reliable under the rain than Massa. In fact, I would say that under rain, Hamilton is the best of all the current drivers (maybe Alonso is on par). I know, rain can cause strange things to happen, but let's not forget that the disaster last year happened under a bright sun, so a good weather doesn't guarantee much either.

He didn't win by dumb luck. First he had the championship completely controlled if it weren't for the rain. Then, if Toyota had pitted like everyone, he'd have won easier. Glock didn't pit, and he suffered that because he didn't have the grip to turn in Junçao. It wasn't dumb luck, if anything, he overcame the bad luck he had due to the rain starting with 5 laps to go
