It could happen, but I doubt it!
No way in hell, LBP despite its popularity is not an established franchise and doesn't benefit from being developed by a known Japanese developer.
I'd be pretty happy with 10k - 15k units being shifted.
WKC is the only games I can see shifting a large amount of unit in Japan (just as Darth said).
Also this is the week of the DSI release, despite being two completely different platform, it has gotta take away some of PS3's thunder, there is only so much money consumer have to spend.
I doubt it. I can see the PS3 selling 15k next week, and falling below 10k again the week after.

Like the wii is selling extremely well. /sarcasm It's lucky to crack 30k these days. I wonder what would happen if Wii/=Casual gamers... |
mm, very true, i personally wonder what would happen if PS3 didn't release a controller for their console
At the rate it's been going it's not looking good at all. It's gonna be hard competing against the DSi. It may only just beat the 360.
Love the product, not the company. They love your money, not you.

Let me think about this for a second. Um..... No.

Possible, but I'd say unlikely, even though I don't know the current reaction the Japanese people are having to LBP pre-launch, but given PS3 (and 360 for that matter) are basically on permanent life support in that country (thanks to the Wii, DS and Sony's own PSP).
I think it'll take a much bigger game for the PS3 to see a higher than Wii spike in Japan (say GT5 or FF, which ever comes first).
i'd say it is fairly unlikely, especially in light of only 7K bundles for LBP..
