Post negative Sony news = troll

Post negative MS news = fair game

1) your past as a self-admitted troll isn't speaking in your favour

2) the fact that you always target Sony, is pretty obvious

3) Calling this "whoring out" when Qore is a choice-purchase, is telling enough.  Especially when Sony have said that Home is free.  It's just a way to attract more people to Qore.

4) Others have posted Sony news too (I'm thinking Squilliam and starcraft for example), but they back it up and discuss it.  You just go "whoring out" in the title, and mess it up from the get-go.

Has anyone mentioned that Sony has already let people in Home beta for free already? They need a way to recruit people it's not like this was and will be the only way people got in. They recuited people from PSU, DL'ing a theme, and now this. (If elsewhere I don't know about it) I see this as a incentive and a promo for Qore... Are car dealers whores because they give gas cards out when you buy a car?

So people complain about SONY losing Money AND These very same people also complain when SONY try and make Money. Hypocrits >_>

I'm not a self proclaimed troll. I had a sig that said I will not troll in future because I didn't realise I was before but got reminded enough.

I do not consider posting negative news in the appropriate forum as "trolling".

Do you?

Also, if you look at the thread title there is a "?" there. That is my, and every other poster of negative news's disclaimer. This is not my opinion, I do not think Sony run a brothel, I am asking the question?

After all if Microsoft started makiing us subscribe to what essentially is a demo disc download service to test out the new NXE people would be up in arms.

No, instead they offer a chance for people to sign up and they pick people who would be most appropriate for the service to test it out and iron out bugs. Sony on the other hand are letting any old prick with money to burn use it right now!

Its a bloody profiteering scam, and that, I stand by!

http://badcontroller.blogspot.com/2008/10/qore-episode-06-home-beta-update.html

"Did you get this email? PLAYSTATION(R) UNDERGROUND(TM)

As an update to the PLAYSTATION(R)3 News email sent on Friday, October 24th, the special invitation to PlayStation(R)Home's closed beta is available only to Qore annual subscribers who purchased subscriptions by 10/29. Qore Episode 06 purchasers will not be eligible for the special PlayStation(R)Home beta invitation at this time. We apologize for the miscommunication. Participation in PlayStation(R)Home's closed beta is limited to those 18 years and older and requires agreement with the PlayStation(R)Home Beta Trial.

So, only those that pay for an annual subscription to Qore get into Home's closed beta and not those that purchased Qore Episode 06 only. PS3 fanboy's can't be happy about this. Home is suppose to be free, why are they charging to get into the beta? What do you think of this?"

So....

Sony are basically preying on you Home beta hopefulls by asking you for $25 to join in....Sounds more like prostitution to me, what do you guys think?

How many Xbox Live Silver members got into the NXE beta?

:P

Oh please, burgles.

People have protested MS' way of doing their online, because they charge money for just being able to play online. That got laughed away by MS fans with a "you don't have to pay if you don't want to".

Same thing here. No one is forcing you to buy Qore. This Home-thing is just a way to get more people to buy Qore, the same way that some magazines come with "buy us and get a chance to win a trip to the US".

And that question mark in your thread title doesn't mean bo diddly when you then state:

Sony are basically preying on you Home beta hopefulls by asking you for $25 to join in....Sounds more like prostitution to me

The only good part of this thread is the title.

Giving privileges to Qore subscribers shouldn't be unexpected.

Sony isnt forcing you to buy the Qore subscription, so I don't really understand what your problem is Burgles. Its not like you are really paying $25 just to see Home, you get the Qore experience and other perks. I have been treated to the SOCOM Beta, R2 Beta, and now a Home beta key of which I already have. $25 isn't really all that much for the opportunities given.

Its very simple, if you don't want to pay for Qore then just realize that you will have to wait fr Sony's Second Life until it has been released. At this point you are just bitching for the sake of bitching.

Bethesda's Todd Howard "if install base really mattered, we'd all make board games, because there are a lot of tables."
