Forums - General Discussion - Where best to live. USA or UK?

I ask this because I am from the UK (Northern Ireland) and I would be interested in moving to the US in the recent future, As I have good impressions of It from a recent Ski Trip I went on to New Hampshire and Boston.

When I was on my Trip the people were very friendly, the $ currency was very easy to use compared to the Euro, the City (Boston) was amazing and the shops seemed to be so much better than the ones in the UK as there was so much variety.

I would however prefer the UK TV channels and the UK cars (automobiles). Another reason that I would be put off a move to the US is Spiders. Yes, I could go face - face with a snake and corner a rat but Spiders scare the absolute sh!t out of me. The ones here in the UK are pea sized and they do my head in so I really don't know how I would react if i came across a black widow for example. Do you get that many spiders in The North East Cities in the US?

Any Thoughts.

Canada - UK and U.S don't even come close.

Yea, heard Vancouver was "best city in the world"

I've spent about two weeks there before and I can tell you that Toronto is much better.

that or Montreal.

Sorry... what? You live in the UK yet you use Euros?

Have you ever heard the saying "does not compute".

And never move anywhere based on a holiday... the real life there is very, very different.

And you specifically said you live in the UK...

What I meant was I found the $ easier to use than I did the Euro when I was In France. Please have a think before you speak
