So I went out and bought... Blastworks.

I don't have $460 to spend on gaming right now, but I got a $20 gift card to Best Buy for my Birthday. Perfect to scratch the user generated itch this site has given me the last few weeks.

Impressions so far:

The game itself is pretty fun, shooters are less than platformers in my mind but it is good frenetic scrolling shooter gameplay.

The community is surprisingly good concidering the time it has been since launch and the small sales. New things are created every day and it is pretty easy to get to good content. It has a very small community feel to it, and people seem encouraging and willing to help eachother.

The editor is pretty easy to work with if all you want to do is mix things around, but if you have a specific vision in mind, it can be hard to bring to life. I will update this thread when I have succeeded and have my first level uploaded to the depot so those who have the game can give me their thoughts.

Cool, looking forward to your update. I have the game but I haven't been able to play it much. It is tons of fun though.
