My ex-gf watched me playing FFVIII because she was in love of Squall, she hated Rinoa because of that... My current gf loves both Ryu (Street Fighter/Ninja Gaiden), Nathan Drake and fantasizes about she, Sephiroth and Cloud, so when it's my turn to treat virtual women as sex objects she has no problem jejeje...

Hey if a woman complains about she being treated as sex object that's an issue, but to criticize developers for making hot VIRTUAL women, that's just dumb...

well it not like women are really trying to make a difference...

 

we have a few females developers in the gaming market, i think gears writer is a woman, but of course

 

gears its also a stereotype. (space marines, aliens etc)

well when all the Babies/Fashion/pets/enchanted DS playing little 6 year old girls become teenage girls, do you not think there will be a market for it?

I mean a few years ago we had the boys bands, and people like Mark Walberg got to fame because they were singing with their pants down showing their muscles and boxers.... There is a market if the target population uses the medium!

 

 So, basically, I have 7-8 years to enjoy video games.

As long as their are a ton of male gamers then yes. If women were the majority of gamers out there then you'd see guys that look like Chippendale dancers in every game. It's called knowing your audience.

@vgchartzgirl. Nothing is wrong with big boobs. I love them. Small and medium ones are great too. I just lust after boobs. What can I say?

I thnik it`s weird that women get offended with that. How many men do you know that get offended when you call them sex objects? I think that it`s a complement...
I think people who think that treating people like sex objects is a bad thing are sexually frustrated.
Random thought I just had: you can make a good protagonist with a ugly male (I think it actualy might make them cooler), but I`ve never seen a strong female protagonist who wasn`t a little bit attractive at least. Has anyone?
