Forums - Sales Discussion - GH and Rock band are too expensive

It all depends on what you like. I've spent almost $400 US dollars on GHWT, RB 1 & 2 and DLC. This is definately a lot of money, but to me it is well worth it. I love these games and play them all the time. But if you are someone who does not like the games that much, then yes they are too expensive.

One way to cut the cost a little is to just buy the guitar. You could always get the mic and drums latter if you wanted.

You don't need the bundle to play GH:WT, just a guitar. You can even use a guitar from an older GH game.

And considering what crap the new GH World Tour instruments apparently are, everybody would be better off getting an old guitar anyways.

My GH:WT instruments are working great and I couldn't be more satisfied with them.

Well it's only been a day, give 'em some time to break.  But have you checked the red pad (snare) to see if it suffers from the same problem the Rock Band drums had, not registering fast hits?  This may not effect you if you're a casual drummer and play on easy difficulties but it ruins songs on expert.

I have both the RB2 drums and the GH:WT drums. I haven't had these difficulties you speak of. I can say that the GH:WT are far more enjoyable to play just from the ergonomics. I can't stand the pads of the RB2 kit, the pads feel deader than dead. In addition the cymbals and pad layout just make more sense on the GH kit. Being able to angle the pedal makes a huge difference, since my feet are naturally at an angle when sitting.

I can buy 3 games for the price of one bundle... anyone else feel the same

I did before I bought Rock Band.  But then my "eyes were opened."  I have now got to say that Rock Band 1-2 is my all-time favorite game.  Yes, even greater than Final Fantasy games.  I have easily played Rock Band for over 500 hours and have had no fewer than 10 parties with over 20 people showing just to play Rock Band and get drunk all night long.

Here is my "Gaming Shack" I built out in my woods just to play Rock Band.  It's just a one room Cabin with a killer sound system, beer, and Rock Band 1, 2 & GH III & GH:WT.

You should get a projector dude, you got plenty of wall space.

LEFT4DEAD411.COM
Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

Yeah, I've actually been thinking about it.  The TV is just a temporary thing for now...almost too small for 4-player Rock Band.  A projector would be great.
