ffxv13 would be multiplatform........

Naw, they confirmed Versus as World-Wide Exclusive already, something that they didnt even do for regular XIII so...

u believe them after the same thing was said about ff13 ???????

Because Wada can't control Nomura's works with a 100% :P and especially now that they have some minor conflicts @SE office.

Maybe in the future they will change their minds, depends on how the 360 version of FFXIII will sell or how versusXIII will sell on the PS3

Ahh, someone understands me. ty. :D

There's no way Square Enix isn't working on something for the Wii that we don't know about.

Damn, that's a lot of negatives. Let me try again.

Square Enix has to be working on a Wii title we don't know about yet. Selling half a million copies of a a DQ upgrade to a interactive sword toy game would have been reason enough for them to start investing in the Wii more. And they can't honestly be oblivious to the Wii's sales world wide, let alone in Japan. Somethings coming. Something has to be coming. For their sake.

@ Bolded. People are saying that for a Final Fantasy VII Remake/sequel for PS3, and just like that they wont care. Square Enix is very odd in this "Next Gen" Thingie.

I don't know why people keep telling themselves that SE is trying to 'kill' the Wii considering that Kingdom Hearts III is going to be a Wii exclusive using the Wii's crystal tools. That's a lot of moey down the drain for a console they're supposedly trying to sabotage.

Japanese developers are destroying the console market in their own country
they all just seem to just have no interest in consoles anymore and want to take a big smack off money out off the Ds and Psp its cheaper and it sell way better than a ps3 title not hard obviously because handhelds selling way more than console especially the wii

i think that eventually we have a console and handheld into 1 device a little sneak peak for me was the option that the psp has with that cable you can buy to play on your damn Hd Tv i was seriously thinking about just buying a psp and that cable and leave the rest off the systems for it and with the gamecube the gba player
well we will see watt happens :p

There's many companies that dislike the Wii very badly, and that have shown no signs of change. For example Ubisoft, Konami, Epic, Bethesda, Bioware, etc. Square Enix is another one, although they will be badly hit since most of their sales come from Japan, where the Wii is obliterating the competition.

By being stuck in their beliefs and stubborn decisions, they risk themselves to lose great part of their audiences and falling into bankrupcy once again. It's obvious that they bet on the wrong system and they are now looking for moneyhats which Nintendo will not hand out, just like what happened in the GC era. Nintendo could survive without SE titles and this gen SE will see how a console without their games is the absolute leader. Level 5, Marvelous, Namco and SEGA are already miles ahead from them in terms of support.

They will continue making moneyhatted projects that will be failures like IU. They will become smaller as time passes by and people will find another company. Marvelous is appearing as the next one.

@trestres: Ubisoft isn't hating the Wii. They put the third-party game with the highest budget on Wii: Red Steel.

I agree however that SE's business model will cost them a lot. I found it extremely stupid when they said the Japanese industry was in trouble while the Japanese companies that are strongly supporting the Wii and DS are thriving.

How many cups of darkness have I drank over the years? Even I don't know...

Final Fantasy is still coming to the PS3 right? As long as that doesn't change, I'm happy.

@Soriku: SE dislikes Nintendo very much, to the point that they will risk themselves to fall into bankruptcy if they need to. I just read the article you linked and lol, SE is having troubles within the companies workers. How come Kitase and Nomura don't want to develop games for other companies? The trouble isn't Japanese market, but themselves who want to believe that Nintendo is killing the industry.

SE had no other choice but to port games to the DS, like it's doing right now because if not bankruptcy would have overcome them. If DS would be on par with the PSP in Japan, most if not all of the SE games would have been on the PSP. The only big original game DS got from SE is DQIX, the rest were just spin-offs or smaller series. PSP got far bigger games like FFVII:CC, Dissidia FF, FFT:The Lion Wars, Agito FFXIII, Kingdom Hearts BBS (Looks to have 100 times the budget and effort of the DS one).

DS mostly got ports, remakes or spin-offs.

It's time for SE to learn in the harsh way (bankruptcy) for being stubborn and elitist.

Youve forgot KH : BBS :P

Vote the Mayor for Mayor!

@Trestres FFVII:CC, DIssidia, FFT Agito, and Kingdom Hearts BBS are spinoffs,. FFT is also a port. So I don't see what the problem is. Especially considering ALL the PSP's SE games are ports or spinoffs while the DS gets non spinoff games like, TWEWY, Sigma Harmonics, DQIX along with Spinoffs and ports. ALso what is wrong with spinoffs? I can't wait for many spinoff games like Valkyrie Profile: The Accused One, Suikoden Terakis, Tales of Symphonia Dawn of the New World(TWO MORE WEEKS!!!!). I also enjoyed many games that are by definition spinoffs. Also may I mention again that all of the PSP games you mentioned are spinoffs. Oh and Budget=/= Quality of a game. I prefer TWEWY to Crisis Core, yet Crisis Core no doubt had a much larger budget, being an FFVII game and all.
