Ninja Blade is published by Microsoft.

Why Sony and Microsoft went after these fools for exclusives is beyond me.

Just my opinion, but Both Micro and Sony want exclusives from "From Software" is because they are cheap, in terms of buying out new IP exclusives from them, both sony and MS dont have to offer much for them to rollover for them. and oh lol k since MS is publishing it then we wont be see'n it on any other console besides the 360. still though why would MS pay for such a copy cat game? same goes for sony and there so called up-coming demons soul? lol!

It's as if they had forseen Itigaki's fate two years ago when they first made the deal for the game, lol.

lol! true, i forgot about that he left tecmo recently didnt he? hmmm..... lol that makes alot of sense now that ya bring it up rofl!

Yeah it's very similar, but then if you think about it your party members are rather similar to Cloud, Tifa, Barret and Yuffie. Although all JRPG characters, stories and music are pretty much interchangeable.

Oh and I also recommend this game, it's a solid RPG which can be found on the cheap for both 360 and PS3.

Ahh, so you see it to eh? lol when i first heard it i was kinda freaked out, it sounds so close to it. and yeah it is a solid RPG, to bad its one of the few thats worth playing so far in this so called (Next Gen)...

Tales of Vesperia and Eternal Sonota seems...to kidish for my tase...

...Because it lacked polish?

The game was the first next-gen JRPG out there, but it was a mediocre PS2-quality JRPG with a few next-gen ideas behind it.

Combat was borked up, as you could auto-battle through most of the game. Many of the golems were overpowered, making gameplay unbalanced.

Backtracking was pretty mundate at points, and the story was rather generic, for the most part.

Don't get me wrong - An eM sequel would be great if.......It wasn't by From Software. I have no hope that Demon Soul nor Ninja Blade is going to be great. From Software takes great concepts, and underfunds them. They aren't a bad developer...Just not 'great'.

They can always get better right?  I'd like to think developers read reviews and stuff too so they see what others think of their games.  I really want to believe that all developers want to get better and make great games.

Except maybe Data-Design or whatever that one company is called.

I don't think it's so much a question of 'can they get better' as much as it is 'can they afford it'

As time goes on, what matters in retail-quality releases for major systems/genres (such as a big JRPG or action-based game) is the budget behind it. New games take massive amounts of developer time to churn out a quality title. This is across the board for every system: Even a game like Super Mario Galaxy or Twilight Princess had/has a big budget so they can get it right.

The weakness of a company like From Software is the fact that it's unlikely they have the cash to put forth an uber-title at this stage in the game (especially when it comes to a game like Ninja Blade - an action game, and Demon's Soul - a JRPG). If the budget isn't there, than chances are the scope of the project gets scaled back, and becomes something less than the initial hype and desire of the game. Give From Software a $50m budget, and I assure you it'd be one of the best games of all time. Give EA, Square, Nintendo, MS, or Sony $5m to work with, and chances are, the product won't be as good as you'd hope.

This example is best seen in Mistwalker's Blue Dragon. The game was developed not by Mistwalker, but Artoon. Artoon is one of THE crappiest developers in the market. They put out that turd Vampire's Rain (which stands as one of the worst-rated games this generation). Yet Blue Dragon was in the upper 70's, and very well-received in Japan, and overall had great polish. Why? It had a budget.
