So I was right.

It is a Wii Shop Channel update.  The only change I have noticed so far is a new "View compatible contollers" button on the Details page of a game or channel you are going to download.  Is there any confirmation if the Homebrew Channel still works?

I havent gotten any message about that. And i live in the west, so i would have gotten it now. I think you manuelly updated it, and when you do that its not really an update. Try it again and youll be able to update again, so your not really getting anything.

Well, this time I was unable to update.  Yes, I did update manually without receiving a message.  I was bored, lol.  Anyway, could someone test this to see if I am wrong?

^^ I just went to update manually , its updating alright weird took 2-3 mins longer then usual. Something about Parental Control ...guess they added something to it .

Update: I found out what it does. It is a Wii Shop Channel update. On the Details page of whatever you are going to download, if you place your cursor to the right of the picture on the page the Wii Remote should rumble. If you click that area, it shows the controllers you are supposed to use.  Kind of hard to explain, since there is no button, but it is there.

Let me see if I can make this easier:  Before you download a game, there is a page with a picture of the game.  To the right of it is the rating for the game.  Between the picture of the game and the rating is where you should click.

It is an official update. I went to go buy some games & the Wii shop channel told me I needed to update first. However, there must a lot of people on there as it errors out on me . :( I'm on my Wii now so it has to be an error on there end. Nintendo's site said the error could be due to there servers being overloaded.
