hey none of the big sites like IGN and Gamespot have yet rated SOCOM Confrontation.It has been released over a weak.Can anybody who's played it tell me if its good.It looks good and I wanna buy it if the reviews are good.

Wait a bit, there's some bad server issue atm and as this game is online only.

GS gave it 6.5, a FLOP. I don't care though, I'm still getting it.

I cannot speak for this socom, but the others socom have always been rated less than they deserved. I don't know why, but that's a fact, even in the OPM (france) I used to read. So don't expect this one to break the 80% on metacritic.

I guess that if you liked the other socom, you'll enjoy this one.

Its a fun game IMO. Regardless of what websites say about it i enjoyed it.

the game is pretty good. like my man said there are some server issues at night but during the day when there is less traffic it runs good. tossing the grenade gets some getting used to but all in all the game rocks in my opinion.

I was in the beta and there were constant server issues and glitches that appear to have made their way to the release build. It is sad because even through the glitches I could tell there was a great online game here. Crossroads was the only map in the beta. The graphics were impressive, and the layout of the map was excellent. Once they iron out the issues, this game will be a very good game.

Personally, I think any site that did a review on this already, without clearly stating in the sub-title that they are going to re-review it in a month or two to allow for patching / fixes etc, is a bit short sited and unreliable.

At least some of the biggies have held off..a release day review would only be an accurate representation of that exact moment in time, which is unfair to any online game, especially one where the servers are getting hammered to pieces.

Most of the reviews are bad because of the fact that they released what feels like an alpha build of the game.  The servers are buggy, the lag is bad, lots of pop-in, and a host of other issues.  Wait a bit for the game to settle and be patched, then check back in on the status.
