Forums - Sony Discussion - Official Resistance 2 Commercial

I would rate it as equal to the fable two advert, which I thought was quite nice

Had another account, Lost it though.. sniff

To a lot of people, this may seem like a pretty good commercial. It's mysterious and serious, it makes you want to know what their talking about.

I liked it.

  • 2010 MUST Haves: WKC, Heavy Rain, GoWIII, Fable III, Mass Effect 2, Bayonetta, Darksiders, FFXIII, Alan Wake, No More Heroes 2, Fragile Dreams: FRotM, Trinity: SoZ, BFBC2.
  • Older Need To Buys: Super Mario Bros. Wii, Mario Kart Wii, Deadspace, Demon's Souls, Uncharted 2.

There is definitely more to list that I want, but that's my main focus there.

really? As much as I'm anticipating getting the game when I get my 360, I didn't really like the commercial for it.

Whilst some of the effects were a little naff, and the script a little clunky, I thought the editing was pretty excellent and overall the ad increased my interest in fable 2 considerably. This ad in many ways is almost identical in terms of my reaction

IMO a good commercial. IMO so much better than some past PS3 ads I couldn't remotely relate to.

Naughty Dog: "At Naughty Dog, we're pretty sure we should be able to see leaps between games on the PS3 that are even bigger than they were on the PS2."

PS3 vs 360 sales

I'm pretty neutral towards this one. It doesn't make me go "wow", it doesn't make me want to bitchslap the creators.

commercial for the original game was awesome this one is bad.

so weird its cool

I thought it was a pretty good idea just poorly executed. The little asian boy was the only character that seemed really authentic. I liked the idea that they were trying to show that all the different races or types of people have to unite in order to fight off the chimera because of the sheer size and horror of these creatures and the threat that it presents to the human race. The writing was good too. Just the acting and the presentation of the commercial was not all that great.

Don't see what all the fuss is about. It does everything an add is meant to do. It makes people curious, holds their attention and markets the product well.

The advert is excellent and it gives it an epic appeal. It also makes the point of coming together regardless of where you are from and to stand as one (online / co-op play).

Analyze the add for what's it's meant to be for, not what you would like it to be. After all, it not not meant to be a Hollywood Blockbuster and the actors are not meant to be Oscar material.

This commercial isn't targeting people like us who knows what resistence is about, have been hyped about its release for month and will get it regardless of a commercial or not.

Its targeted at people thats never heard of resistence and I think Sony did a good job of it; its is unique enough to grab a man's attention, has enough eye candy to keep a man's interest and leaves enough mystery to tug at a man's curiousity.

On a personal level, I like the artism of the piece.
