From the IGN forums:

Nintendo DS: 561,000
Wii: 381,780
PlayStation Portable: 290,100
PlayStation 2: 270,760
Xbox 360: 198,440
Game Boy Advance: 113,870
PlayStation 3: 98,470

Not sure if these are official or not..

i have a hunch that those are not right.

currently playing: Skyward Sword, Mario Sunshine, Xenoblade Chronicles X

Even if they are, ioi still tracked much better than last month. Most are 15% or less. PS2 and GBA are harder to track, I would assume.

Does NPD release numbers rounded to tens of units?

Official NPD data for June is in and, once again, Nintendo's handheld and console dominated the charts. Nintendo DS sold through a whopping 561,000 units for the month and Wii pulled in another 381,000 believers, making the two systems the number-one and number-two best-sellers respectively in June.

Sony's PSP performed surprisingly well, with sales undoubtedly spurred by a recent price drop. The handheld managed 290,000 in sales, which was good enough to nab the third best-selling spot for the month. Meanwhile, PlayStation 2 garnered another 270,000 unit sales, earning it the number-four position.

Xbox 360 sales, at 198,000, were nearly doubled by Wii. Game Boy Advance attracted another 113,000 people and, finally, PlayStation 3 continued to trail behind all competitors with 98,000 in sales -- a number that is up over previous months, but still well behind Wii or Xbox 360.

The top-selling games largely belonged to Nintendo, too. Against IGN's recommendation, Wii owners continued to buy Mario Party 8, which pulled in another 426,000 in sales to become the month's best-selling game. Wii Play nabbed the second slot with 293,000. Pokemon Diamond and Pearl sucked in 288,000 and 214,000 new DS fans respectively and Xbox 360's Forza Motorsport 2 capped out the top five with 197,000 in sales.

Despite low ratings and a lackluster online mode, more than 157,000 people were tricked into buying Pokemon Battle Revolution for Wii. However, in more positive news, Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition managed nearly 150,000 in sales through June after being available for about 10 days.

good job ioi, the figures are close

currently playing: Skyward Sword, Mario Sunshine, Xenoblade Chronicles X

can we get some comparisons with vgcharts software and NPD?

currently playing: Skyward Sword, Mario Sunshine, Xenoblade Chronicles X

ioi, I only can say one word, congratulations!

Wow ,so those were the legit numbers .

I dont get it ,the PSP is selling like a top console ,it would be a generation leader with these numbers ....and it still is doubled in sales by the DS !This is madness ! I really dont understand the monster numbers of the DS ,its truly astounding .

And the PS2 ,when it appeared it was on the decline it manages another month at 291 000 consoles sold .It is truly unbeliable ,aside the Wii it is outselling its younger sibling and the X360 ....very serious in the last case ,as soon it will be 2 years in the market and in the two years it will have benn outsold by the PS2 .

The Wii is very very strong ,although measured in weekly sales it has slowed down something ....considering it sold 338K units in 4 weeks in May the 5 weeks number for June should have been some 420 K units not 380K .Still ,mighty impressive .

As for the X360 and the PS3 they have pretty much managed the same numbers as last month ,once we take in account it was 5 weeks instead of 4 .

Comparisons will come when all the data is in..we don't even have a top ten software list from NPD...just..top 7 and hardware..we'll see soon enough.
