Forums - General Discussion - Vegan, vegetarian, or Omnivore?

Pescetarianism. ^^ I found it's the best diet for me, since being 100% vegetarian doesn't satisfy me.

I don't eat meat but eat sometimes fish, seafood and egg but I prefer to eat, most of the time, substitutes (tofu, simulated meat, nuts and such). So fish and such are like treats for me. Something I don't eat too often. I don't drink real milk but that's because it makes me sick. Soy milk for me!

Omnivore.

I too think we have evolved as a species to be omnivores and thus it is the best option. Just study our own evolution, it wasn't but a few species ago that live 100% off of plant products only. What happened to them? They were replaced by a omnivore descendant with bigger body structure and over a 40% larger brain that was solely attributed to the much higher protein in their diets.

Without our modern science you would be forced to eat meat to survive.

In our modern times we have developed the ability to live without the necessity of meat products in a very healthy lifestyle. At the same time our modern society has made the ability to eat too much meat in very unhealthy ways too accessible and that of course has created a lot of misinformation that meat is bad for you. My argument is no, an 'Ultimate Cheeseburger' from Jack in the box is bad for you, not meat in general.

 THIS.

And the fact that we personally don't kill the animals or see them get killed.  If we did we would eat way less meat. We eat way to much meat.

What about the hunters that kill their own game?  I'm pretty sure most of them do it to eat.  When you shoot Bambi, you don't leave it there, you cut the little guy up and eat him.

Fresh Bambi is oh so delicious.  I don't hunt, but my friend does, and we get loots of meat.  It's great.

LEFT4DEAD411.COM
Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

Likewise, my family hunts and so do my Dad's bosses so I haven't myself been able to kill Bambi.  But I would love to do it.  Venison burgers are so delicious.

Hi, this is Vince with Shamwow.

I eat the things that taste good and are reasonably good for me.

I don't eat sweets or candy much though. Not because they're not too healthy but because I don't really want them except maybe once or twice a year.

I hate deer. and Turkeys. I think hunting is ok, but they should stop doing it near houses which I see way too much. Theres an awful lot of people around here who end up with bullet holes in their houses from that.

Omnivore.

Omnivore, naturally. Though now that I'm living in a more rural environment, I've been eating less "evil" meat and getting more stuff from local grocers who buy from smaller, local farmers. My uncle also slaughters a cow every year (one that is free-roaming and not filled with hormones), so I will be getting the majority of my beef from that source. On top of being allowed to bite into the meat without a bit of remorse, I'm sure it's healthier for me.
