Star Ocean the last hope  is the first one where you actually get to captain your own spaceship, named the Calnus (japanese name seems to be Karunasu). Hero Edge Maverick is captain of the Calnus, which is outfitted with everything you need to be a hip outer-space hero: a cockpit, rec room, living quarters, a conference area where you'll be able to create and mix items together (an SO hallmark), and a battle-training chamber

Looks like from the cockpit you can visit different planets and hopefully explore them.

Inside the ship the main offers lots of private actions and hopefully gain more insight to your crew members.

Ooooh, those look very nice, it looks pretty similar to ME's system, but ME did have a much larger universe to explore...

YES! This is how I envisioned Star Ocean 3 at first, until you land on that boring medieval planet... Uggghhh...!

This game is turning out to be very good and I hate that fact.

Looks brilliant....a true gem for 360 like Fable 2 & unlike games such as IU or GEOW 2

will buy it on PS3 when it comes out on it of which I am 99% sure....if it doesn't the Wii will be fed to raving kids next xmas & a 360 will be brought

Hmmm, you know, you could have compared this and Fable 2 with IU alone (or with Too Human as well, or something). Gears of War 2 doesn't even have a single RPG element in it, which is a pretty unfair comparison if you ask me (meaning it shines at doing something else)! o_O
