well after thinking about it, there is a posibility that ms could take all three again , though others will most likely go to ps3, i just dont see what would lift the ps3 up in japan this next week, and 360 should sltill be slick in usa..... the 360s 8 bundles should be interesting in the eu, with the pes one being the one that should be watched the most

PES2009 bundle is huge. Although i prefer FIFA...

I think JP will start to take the 360 seriously after MS's TGS performance.

Only two rpgs and not a one of them Final Fantasy XIII or Versus XIII? That's kind of embarrassing. I guess they couldn't swing the deal. lol. Up until FFXIII is released exclusively for the PS3 in Japan, the PS2 will continue to own the jibroni that is the 360 over there. The PS2 certainly has a lot more than two good rpgs on the way. And after FFXIII comes out exclusively on the PS3 in that territory, it will be all over for the 360 in Japan. It will never beat the PS3 in Japan after that happens.

Japan is almost irrelevant atm with regards to HD console sale, the numbers are just too damn low, NA and EU are the two numbers to watch, since LBP is delayed I expect NA sale to be similar to this week, not sure how much effect SOCOM will have on sale, I think there will be an equal amount of people buying it for the Headset as there are for the game. The PS3 should pull ahead slightly in EU due to PES09.

Overall another winning week for Microsoft... crunch time will come in late October to early November when the PS3 exclusive heavy hitters all start arriving (LBP, Res2 and Motorstorm 2).

While I think Fable 2 will be a fantastic game (I liked the first), I can't help but feel that its not really a system seller, it will sell in fantastic numbers, but I don't think it will push the system significantly. I still think that the 360 should beat the PS3 next week both WW and NA but I don't think Fable 2 will be a big factour in this, in fact I'd put more money on Gears2 to sell system than Fabl2 despite many poster claiming that the target audience for that also already owns the system too.

I will never underestimate the popularity of a good shooter with eyecandy again.

This should easly be the most interesting week since the 360 price cuts. PS3 has closed the gap in all three regions, and it others they have a game that is better known for the PS brand. That combined with the small boost Socom, and Indy should provide will make this a close call. I expect the 360 to scrape by for the next 2 - 3 weeks. Once the rush of November starts Blu-ray will push the PS3 out in front just like it did last year.

well 360 has good games coming out, best price out of the other three consoles, hell im gonna buy one for gears and fable, but first i need $$$ and a tv, unless i can connect a 360 to my laptop's HDMI-out port.... hmmmmmmmm

360 might retain a slight lead, since price drop effects wear off exponentially (i.e. fast drop after first week followed by gradual drops).
