No suprise there. They forcefully overshipped the previous quarter so that they could say that they had 'sold' 10 Million before the competition came out. Because retailers were already fully stocked, MS shipped less the following quarter.

I really do wish well for the 360 and microsoft entertainment division as a whole. They do cater to a certain audience, but to that audience they are great. Plus, they really are trying to help out there customers with the warranty coverage, which is a nice change of pace compared to most companies.

Just kiss the tip.

I still shocked the courts havent ruled a mandatory (world-wide) recall.

In a way, they had to. If Microsoft just sat on their asses and done nothing, you could bet there would have been huge legal actions filed against them, and quite possibly, an injunction could have been placed on Microsoft.

Still, Microsoft may have not dodged one bullet.

Yeah, that article definitely skews the picture a bit. The 360 actually sold about a million consoles over the quarter. The numbers still suck, but as DonWii already pointed out that's what MS gets for stuffing the channel at the end of last year.

Numbers are like people. Torture them enough and you can get them to say anything you want.

Sony would beg to differ.

They didn't have any competition this time last year.

You would expect sales to plunge with two new players in the nextgen market.

I wouldn't read too much into sales during this past quarter. September - February is where you want to be strong. Spring and summer really don't matter much except on the momentum side.

Do you know how much that doesn't make sense?  Seriously...shut it.

Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )
