What do I hate about modern gaming? I hate tedium replacing challenge, complexity replacing depth, and domination replacing entertainment. I hate the outsourcing of mechanics to physics textbooks, art direction to photocopiers, and story to cheap Hollywood screenwriters. I hate the confusion of obsession with dedication, style with substance, new with gimmicky, old with obsolete, new with evolutionary, and old with time-tested.
There is much to hate about modern gaming. That is why I support the Wii.

i don't see the difference between this and the previous wii-x games. why the hate? i mean, those words describe wii(fit, sport, play) . It will sell like crazy anyway

Can't watch the videos currently but I think IGN is just proving the point I've been saying all along.

Wii Music is only for those with an inkling of musical talent. If you don't have any then you will hate Wii Music. It'll be nothing more than an annoying noise maker because that's all you can do with it. But those with musical talent will respect and enjoy the game. Those discovering they have musical talent through Wii Music will LOVE this game for the gift it's given them.

Problem is, most of us are not musically talented. Expect a lot of poor reviews and a few stellar ones.

My Prediction: Wii will be achieve 48% market share by the end of 2008, and will achieve 50% by the end of june of 09. Prediction Failed.

Actually every home console version of Cars is rated HIGHER than Wii Play. Only the DS and GBA got lower review averages.

Everything sounds awful. It really does.


Amazingly, the game doesn't even really read the speed of your waggling, for if you really try to go fast with it, it'll continue to play at a medium speed. Truly disappointing.


this is a fluffy, pointless, borderline shovelware project


What do we learn from this? Games that look like warmed over vomit sometimes also play like it.

I beg to differ. Wii Sports is one of the best games for playing together. This looks like the sucks.

The difference is that simple motions give you quite nice interactions for Tennis, Bowling whatever but surely not for music instruments. Because of this Guitar Hero and Rock Band provide you with hugely expensive peripherals even for Wii.

Besides Wii Sports is only great when played in multiplayer it would be boring as hell in single-player. And excuse me but I cannot see anyone jamming together with Wii Music.

So its essentially a Wii Sports game without the two things that make Wii Sports great. Playing against each other and simple motions.
