Forums - Gaming Discussion - The GH:WT Guitar is very solid!

I was at Best Buy today and surprisingly they had a GH:WT guitar hooked up to a 360. No GH:WT game though.

The guitar was extremely solid and felt heavier than the Wii GHIII guitar I have. It seemed a little bigger as well, but I didn't measure it against anything else. The quality was top notch and the finish was flawless. The buttons are the same. The strummer felt a little more solid and wider. I was really impressed at the build quality and if the drums are this good, there will be no reason to buy RB instruments unless you want to play RB on the Wii.

That's good to hear. Yea with Rock Band 2 I'm getting the guitar pack for Wii just to replace the bad RB 1 guitar. Too bad they couldn't have been made compatible cause 2 different drum sets just suck but whatev.

My Xplorer just crapped out on me and I was looking to pick this one up. Glad to hear it's pretty solid. The Les Paul I liked other than it being finicky with the neck attachment.

GH3/Aerosmith guitar works on Wii Rock Band 2. Hopefully the World Tour guitar and drums work too.

Oh, I just realized I never figured GH and RB2 into my holiday gaming plans......

^Is that just the guitar that's compatible then? So Wii Rockband 2 is still not fully compatible with World Tour Instruments.

They haven't said either way, but at least the GH Guitar is confirmed to be compatible, but since it's all through the Wii Remote then it should probably also work with drums too.

Everything I've heard in regards to the quality of the instruments has been extremely positive thus far, but its always nice to get someone who you know more directly to comment on it and add an even more inspiring confirmation..

My hope is that HMX takes this as a challenge and ups the ante next time around. That way by the time we hit RB4 and GH7 the game should come with at least 3 groupies and a kilo of pixie stick dust.
