If any anecdotal evidences is wanted, the PS3 is out of stock at the store around here that I usually go to. I went yesterday to get a new PSP-3000 Stores usually advertise bundles as soon as they are announced. It doesn't surprise me if those two factors made it lower than usual. I don't know if many want to hear that fact.
Still, congrats to MS for not going down to far (1000s range). It seems like it will be able to be in the category of the PS3 and Gamecube. Which is much better than what they were.
