Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Have you bought any games you wouldn't usually because of the Wii remote?

Thanks I think I will go with Rayman and Resident Evil 4 as my first 2 selections. Rayman looks like goofy fun and I have roommates. I will definately buy Rayman 2 cause it looks better than the first. For some reason though I'm not interested in Zelda TP. I've actually skipped the last couple of Zelda incarnations. I prefer fast action a la Gears of War or something casual these days. I could get into the next Final Fantasy even though I haven't played one in years. Galaxy looks okay but I know Metroid will be right up my alley. I've never played SSB so I'm not sure what all the hype is about but if it's a really fun multiplayer game I will get it in case friends are over. Multiplayer and party games are good to have around for parties.

Hey so I got a couple of games for the Wii but I am having trouble with the sensor bar. It doesn't detect exactly where I'm pointing at the screen. It feels really off. Is this normal? I would like to shoot exactly where I am pointing but I get the feeling that this would be impossible cause the sensor bar can't detect how big your TV. Am I wrong to assume this?

Wiiplay and I almost regret it.

Red Steel, I absolutely hate ANY gamepad-base FPS (with the exception of Metroid Prime, thanks to it's auto-aim, although it's more of an adventure game), I've never enjoyed any free-aim FPS games otherwise. I've been playing FPS games on my computer since Wolf3d, and Red Steel was the first time I ever enjoyed one period.

Nobody is crazy enough to accuse me of being sane.

Well I never would have even rented Madden if not for the remote. And now I plan on buying Maddeon 08 for the Wii when it comes, which would be my first purchase of a Madden game ever.

The Godfather and Excite Truck, doubt I'd buy either of those if not for the remote.
(In fact I didn't since the Godfather was on previous systems.)

Lets see

Trauma Center
Cooking Mama
Sonic and the secret rings
Red Steel
WarioWare
Excite Truck
Elebits

All of those game only work for me thanks to the Wiimote

I have MP8 and RE4, but I got them for the multiplayer and for the PS2 extras.

I think you should wait for Rayman 2. That game will have focus on multiplayer, and I think it is going to get close or maybe match the quality of the original N64 Mario Party`s. MP8 was dissapointing, I mean, no Face Lift or Tipsy Tourney? Those games were just made for Wii.

I bought one game because I thought the Wii controls would be a blast. That was the most disappointing buy I ever made. It wont happen again. (I sold that game 8 days after buying it for a quarter of what I paid for it, and was happy I got that much)
