@OP

Microsoft stated like 1 month ago that they have 9 first party titles being made. I reckon at least 4 are new IP's. Is that not enough for you?

As for Sony. Others have already mentioned, but Sony stole loads from Ninty and Sega. I waited for the N64 to play FF only for Sony to steal that.

How the hell did MS KNOW that the PS3 version would not run 60FPS before it released?

Sony has had Crash Bandicoot, , Jak games, Shadow of the Colossus, ICO, Dark Cloud, Ratchet and Clank,Resistance, Uncharted, Warhawk, Wipeout, Legend of Dragoon,WKC,Heavenly Sword, etc.
MS has brought in Halo, Gears of War, Fable, Mass Effect, KOTOR, KOTOR2.

These are the games actually in Sony's and MS's actual 1st/2nd Party Repatoir. Games that were not stolen from another console but born and raised.

Sony knows about how to make good games, seeing as NONE of their 1st party is bad. MS not so much, hense they spend so much time stealing Sony's exclusives.

If you think those games are what put Sony ahead of Nintendo with games like Zelda, Mario, Mario Kart, Wave Race, Goldeneye, Diddy Kong Racing, Perfect Dark, etc then you are living in some Sony fantasy land.  It was the 3rd parties that did it for Sony plain and simple.  And by the time PS2 came out all the 3rd parties simply migrated from PS1 to the PS2.

Whoever says that Sony is a better game developer than Sega and Nintendo is a moron. Those companies survived off of first party games. Something that neither Microsoft nor Sony can do.

Ive got a PS3 but all this pullava over tekken going multi? Soul calibur is a much better series, I mean when was the last great tekken? 2 was the best of the series, the pacing was perfect. For me its gone down hill fast. Most of Sony's PS exclusives like tekken, wipeout & ridge racer just haven't aged well so i don't blame the devs and publishers for going multi format. They still wont shift huge numbers.

Well i can't recall the names of this IPs and are u sure these are not XBLA. The thing is that MS could easily build there own IPs (not first party, just exclusives) to counter Sony's IPs. The whole industry whould just win from that. They could create the counter for DMC, FF, Tekken and etc. Don't forget MS is software based giant.

I've said this ever since I think 2006.

Defend it all you want M$ fans, but Microsoft....

Get your own games. M$ is only hopping on the success the Sony brand had made, and it won't last forever because even still the same games are on the PS3, and the 1st party is just chugging games out.

What're they gonna steal next gen? LBP2? SOCOM? Doubt that's gonna happen....and then what? They're going to have to rely on their abysmal 1st party.

Calm your assumptions down. I'm not a 360 fanboy. I just haven't bought a PS3 yet. I'm buying one at the end of the month. Look at my list of games that I own. If I was ever a fanboy of a system it was the dreamcast and the SNES. I haven't been a fanboy of any other system. I can't even defend the Dreamcast for its downfall. Fanboys are blind. I only own a 360 of all the next gen systems right now, but i've played the PS3 and i'm buying certain games on the PS3. I no longer have any true emotion for the gaming industry. That died the day Sega stopped pushing out consoles and then it finished it for good when I took economy. I look at economics in a souless robotic sense. I only back Microsoft because they are making the most progress.
