And admittedly Tekken 6 being multiplat is on a smaller scale perhaps because some people DID expect it, but overall, its a franchise that always did stay true to Sony, so it will still turn alot of heads.

 

You're right, it was a very shocking annoucement that SO:TLH is only for the 360 and nobody seriously would have guessed that. But megaton to me, and I don't think I'm alone, implies that a game sells at the very least 5M and could be a key part in deciding the outcome of a Console War.

Right. So MGS4 is selling around 3.29 million now but if it goes to the 360 its not going to be a megaton. lol.

Why the preconceptions? If its news that grabs lots of attention and is out of blue, it may not be a megaton effect on short term software sales but a megaton on perception of console value, strategy and future sales. And that is as important.

I've been on this forum for over a year and have gotten into several arguments with Sony fans that swore me up and down that Tekken 6 would move PS3s. Conveniently, it's suddenly not important anymore now that it's multiplat.

5 million is hardly a realistic qualifier for a 'megaton,' especially considering the state of the console market in Japan.

LOL. I said this in the other Tekken 6 thread about how its going to come to the PS3 and I was right. I didn't think it was gonna be "outed" so soon tho. Let's cue in the "Im in denial" or "damage control" from ppl.

I don't know why some people think the only reason this happened (if true) is because M$ money-hatted. Maybe the developers just realized that the US market is 360 dominated compared to ps3. They do want to make a profit after all...and this is coming from a ps3 owner.

first , i don't understand what u fully said but i always said in almost in every tekken thread after SC4 was released that tekken was going multi

look at SC4 sales, by the time the game is released there will be more than 25 milion 360xboxes in the market a number that is impossible to ignore unless there is money from sony

i can't think of tekken as a system seller because SC4 wasn't

the post u quoted was about "blaming" sony for not securing an "exclusive game" that was announced as exclusive game

that's because there are some people that bought ps3 for tekken i didn't mean it will move sales

 Funny picture from a website named 4chan. Montana, calm down. Tekken isn't such a huge deal anyway, and its still going to PS3. See, we all win.
