Thing is, I don't understand the "back to 4-6k" comment - the X360 has never done 4-6k weekly as a base value at any point in it's life.

People forget that regular X360 sales are 1.5k-3.0k during regular dry spells. The X360 hasn't seen that (sans the shortage) for 4 months now. That's a massive improvement. The numbers may be bad to some, but for comparison, they're phenominal.

How many weeks has the 360 outsell the PS3 in Japan?

4 weeks on the trot. Wierd thing is Kotaku said 360 11400 and PS3 9000. Anyways. I trust VGchartz more.

TLR is massive in Japan. I predict another phenominal rise for 360 there.

Looks like it's back to >5000 for the 360 starting next week. Most likely it will stay in the 1000 to 3000 area until The Last Remnant is released where it will see a similar, but smaller, effect as Infinite Undiscovery and will fall back down to >5000 units a week until Star Ocean 4.

I sense a reocurring theme happening with the 360 getting one big RPG release and beating the PS3 for a week or two before falling back to last until the releases of Final Fantasy XIII, Final Fantasy Versus XIII and Gran Turismo 5 when the PS3 sales permanantly increase.

you should trust famitsu and vgc more than that 360 fanboy site. Anyway 4 weeks? i think not. 3 weeks and a tie. a measly 300 units (4%) doesnt justify a win. It also doesn't call for an "owning" either...

Software is interesting.

Pokemon Platinum is doing damn good. At least for being the 3rd wheel on the wagon Pokemon. It is beating all previous 3rd wheelers, and tieing Fire Red and Leaf Green and Yellow!

All in all, it's doing far better than you ought to expect. It's bound to end in the top 7 now (of Pokemon games, in Japan).

Also, Ps2 > WiiPs360PsP, and DS isn't far off from beating everything else combined.
