More and more evidence is pointing to no price cut in 2008 for the ps3, looks like Sony with sales

If you've been waiting for the best time to buy a PS3 this holiday season, stop. Sony Computer Entertainment America spokesman Patrick Seybold has told Edge magazine that the company won't be making any pricing changes this holiday season, secure in the belief that the current PS3 cost, combined with the company's fall and winter lineup, will be more than enough to lure in consumers.

Honestly, after spending some time with LittleBigPlanet, we find it pretty hard to argue the point. For those of you who haven't taken the plunge: Is price still the issue?

Next week PS3 sales NOSEDIVE as SONY Rep announced a price cut a month in advance

ps3 will do fine this holiday, 360 may sell the higher units, but ps3 will pull in huge numbers.

theres not really any wagle room left for 360 now, with ps3 everytime they do a price cut the results will always be huge

This is different. This isn't the plausibly deniable "we have no plans for a price cut at this time" line. If he actually said the exact words the author described, Sony can't cut without making liars of themselves.

2 months later "Playstation 3 will drop to $399"

EDIT: - Now I'm not "implying" there will be a price cut....I'm just saying don't use this as proof for there not being one

In my humble opinion I dont see price cuts for 2008, sales of the PS3 are strong yes it will put them further back into third but will also help on the profitability side.

No, but typically they say no comment or something less definitive. Plus, its completely against their fiscal inititive of showing profit this fiscal year to drop price before March 2009.
