What's my country?

My country is a big fat political crap hole. It consumes 10 times more of everything than any other country in the world. It is currently enganged in two armed conflicts, one of which should get its leader arrested and tried.

Now is it all bad, no. My country does have many "freedoms" that others do not, for one I don't have to worry about being killed for what I just wrote about my country. My country does also give me every chance possible to succeed in life, granted, much of that is due to my country's unequal treatment of other countries and peoples.

Lastly, my country greatly supports one country that I despise to its core. I do hope that some day my fellow countrymen and women realize the true standards of life in that country so my country will deal with that country more equably.

 Thank you.  I did read, however "what's your country" doesn't carry the meaning you think it does.  "What's your country" means the same as "what country are you from."  I don't mean to make fun of people who aren't fluent in English, because I know how hard it is to learn a second language, but please check your definitions before accusing someone of not reading a post.

What you probably should have written was something along the lines of "What is your country's video game status" or "Who is winning in your country."  Otherwise, there is absolutely no indicator in your thread to tell me that this is what the thread is about.



As for Israel, most of our market is after-market.  Sony stuff can generally be found in major retail chains, so it tends to be dominant, but anything else you buy pretty much has to be through an importer anyway.  Some chains carry DSs now, though, so once Nintendo gets their stock up, this might change.

I think sony won last generation, but not by that wide of a margin. Piracy got a lot to do with that. xBOX did great last gen because of the same thing. I think xbox had a virtual tie with gamecube, even if gamecube did not have piracy for most of its life, and by the time it was cracked, nobody even modded their console.

I would say gamecube was the big winner last generation because I think the market share was something along the lines of 30% same with xbox and PS2 had something like 40%. Why I think it was the big winner? every game bought was an original. I dont think the other consoles were that healthy regarding to software.

As for current gen, XBOX is market leader, becuase its really cheap. 450 dollars two games included (with current exchange rates 4950 pesos), as opposed to 360 dollars for the Wii with wii sports(something like 4,000 pesos), and PS3 at 860 dollars nothing included (something like 9,500 pesos).

Wii is gaining lots of ground on 360 as we speak, but becuase of the year long lead and the competitive price of the 360 (that is manufactured here in mexico), it will have a rough time overcoming it.

PS3 is as good as dead in mexico
