Forums - General Discussion - New SNL VP debate spoof

Just waiting to find the video.

It was hilarious. This is the third SNL parody of Sarah Palin. Tests have shown that support for mcCain drops with every spoof on snl.

I thought The Daily Show was bad enough, apparently more people trust snl than jon stewart.

Haha. Damn, I missed the 2nd one. I'm gonna go find it.

I bet Lorne Michaels and everyone else at SNL is happy that the show is relevant again.

Yeah, seriously. I haven't watched SNL regularly since Phil Hartman and Chris Farley died. Now I'm watching some clips online, but that's a huge step for me.

Jon Stewart isn't nearly as hot as Tina Fey.

Yeah, SNL apparently is only good for the occasional Andy Samburg digital short, and the occasional political spoof. Other than that SNL=teh suck. They should just let them be on youtube instead of being ass pirates and taking them down all the time.

We'll see how long it lasts, but I was actually thinking this very same thing today after reading an article about Tina Fey.

The Tina Fey years were so bad...just a miniscule shadow of the greatness that was the mid and early 90's (Lorne Michael years mostly).

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson

Okay it's up at NBC's web site. I just watched last week's too. This new one about the debate was my favorite of the 3 so far. Queen Latifah is Gwen Ifill. I don't know who Biden is, but he was pretty funny too. Way better than their Obama impersonator.

Another great performance. Queen Latifah was awesome.

lol, I love that she was onto the rampant drinking games. That was my least favorite of the three but it was still good. Fey's impression is still uncanny.

I don't think I have ever been turned on by Tina Fey this much since I saw this and the Katie Couric interview one. Anyone else feel that way?
The video was pretty good.
