I don't know if there was a thread or a news post on this but:
lifetime sales DS > lifetime sales GBA

GBA: 79,589,083
DS: 81,551,882

In less then 4 years DS outsold GBA.

NA however haven't embraced the DS as much as they did the GBA

GBA America sales: 41,469,766
DS America sales: 25,872,655

America is in need of some DSi

well thats why the DS is amazing. the only question is whether people like the games on the DS or GBA more, which is a really hard descision

Actually if you look at the handheld market, in the US it already reached the GBAs number ;)

Yeah... It's not like Nintendos doing any worse... it's just that the PS3 ate a hole lot of sales in the Americas.

so tell me, how is this: GBA America sales: 41,469,766
the same with this: DS America sales: 25,872,655

Maybe the GBA sold more hardware in America but the DS is selling more software than the GBA
