The re-release of GC game on the Wii, the real purpose is to promote the upcoming brandnew Pikmin made specifically for the Wii? Miyamoto mentioned Pikmin in the work during E3.

Not really... after Ninty realized that remaking and porting old PS2 and GC games were popular Nintendo might aswell do the trend. Doesnt mean its a bad idea either, but its definitely not to promote Pikmin 3.

E3 2006-The beginning of the end. Wii introduced
E3 2008- Armageddon. Wii motion plus introduced. Wii Music. Reggie says Animal crossing was a core game. Massive disappointment. many Wii core gamers selling their Wii.
E3 2010- Tape runs out

I think they use the re releases to promote pikmin 3.

When Play on Wii was announced, we all wondered if this was the Pikmin that Shigeru Miyamoto talked about back at E3. According to Cammie Dunaway, it is not and Nintendo is in fact working on a brand new Pikmin game.
When asked about the confusion, Cammie said this Play on Wii game is "not the Pikmin that Mr. Miyamoto referred to" and that "Mr. Miyamoto referred to a new Pikmin, as opposed to the classics that are being rereleased on Wii." So, aside from selling us old games again, Nintendo also wants to sell us new games. Sounds good to us!
Yes, that's what I thought. But this indeed smashes my hopes of it being released early. We will have to wait until late 09 to see the game getting released. It wouldn't make any sense for them to release 3 before 1 and 2. And as far as we know Pikmin 1 is released this year but ONLY in Japan, with no mention of it here yet. As always NoA is ages late to the party.

Besides SE is releasing Valkyre Profile DS, Chronno Trigger, Chocobos Tales 2, Chocobo's Dungeon DS, KH:358/2 days, FFCC:EoT in Japan before DQIX is released. So when do you think DQVI will be released?

Doubtful. The reasons I see behind these wii ports of GC games are 2 things:
1. Money(always haha)
2. Fan service
Always the money and they'll get a good cash in and also seems to be quite a bit of a fan service considering the first few titles they announced, Pikmin series and Metroid Prime series, which have been the most hyped games for Wii updates.
